Chair yoga!

I've recently been teaching chair yoga at the Hawker Centre in Kingston, so I've had the pleasure of working with a new group of clients!

Chair yoga is a fantastic way to bring the benefits of traditional yoga to people of all ages and abilities. Unlike conventional yoga that requires getting up and down from the floor, chair yoga uses a sturdy chair for support, making it accessible for those with limited mobility, balance issues, or chronic pain.

The gentle stretches and poses can help improve flexibility, strength, and balance, while also providing an escape from the stresses of daily life.

It can also enhance mental well-being. The combination of mindful breathing and movement helps to calm the mind and reduce anxiety, making it a perfect mid-day break to reset and recharge.

It also fosters a sense of community when practiced in group settings, like a leisure centre, where participants can share the experience and support each other.

Whether you’re looking to stay active, manage stress, or simply try something new, chair yoga offers a simple and effective way to boost both your physical and mental health.
